The Northern Railway’s Moradabad Division has finalized comprehensive travel arrangements to assist the thousands of pilgrims expected to attend the annual Urs-e-Ala Hazrat, also known as Urs-e-Razvi, in Bareilly. Following coordination between administrative officials and the Dargah management, the event is now scheduled from August 6 to August 8, 2026, with the main ‘Kul Sharif’ ceremony slated for Saturday, August 8. This adjustment was made strategically to avoid potential congestion with the ongoing Kanwar Yatra.
Key highlights of the railway’s special plan include:
- Extended stoppage durations for 16 major trains at Bareilly Junction.
- Temporary new halts for six specific up and down trains (13258, 12238, 12558 and 13257, 12237, 12557).
- Introduction of a special unreserved train (04301) from Bareilly to Saharanpur.
- Operational adjustments for MEMU services and new route proposals for Gorakhpur and Aligarh.
- Enhanced passenger amenities, including help desks and extra ticket windows at Islamia Ground and Bareilly station.
Enhanced Train Operations and Connectivity
To manage the surge in footfall, the railway will increase the halt time for several key trains at Bareilly Junction, including 13308, 12356, 12470, 15212, 15904, 15128, 14618, 14230, 14673, 14649, 14617, 12317, 12325, 22551, 12469, and 18103. Furthermore, a special unreserved train, 04301, is scheduled to depart Bareilly on August 8 at 4:45 PM, reaching Saharanpur at 11:00 PM, with planned stops at Rampur, Moradabad, Dhampur, Najibabad, Laksar, and Roorkee. To further improve connectivity, the departure of train 64177 will be rescheduled to 3:45 PM on August 8, and the 64176 Bareilly-Roza MEMU will be temporarily extended to Sitapur City.
Passenger Facilities and Security
Recognizing the magnitude of the event, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager has directed the implementation of robust passenger services. Pilgrims will have access to a ‘Rail One App Help Desk’ and additional ticket counters located at both Islamia Ground and Bareilly station. Following requests from the All India Raza Action Committee and Dargah leadership, the administration is focusing on increased Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel deployment, dedicated helplines, and improved provisions for drinking water, sanitation, and first aid. These measures are designed to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for all visitors arriving in Bareilly during the Urs.
