North Central Railway has announced route changes for several trains passing through Chhapra Junction from April 24 to April 30, 2026. This decision follows yard remodeling and non-interlocking work at Prayagraj Junction. Passengers are advised to check their train status before starting their journey to avoid any inconvenience.
Which trains are affected and what is the new route
The 15159 Chhapra-Durg Express and 11060 Chhapra-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Express will now run via Prayagraj Chheoki railway station. Due to this diversion, these trains will not stop at several of their regular stations. Additionally, the Chhapra-Durg Express will be regulated for about 35 minutes on certain dates, while the LTT Express will be regulated for approximately 30 minutes.
What is the total impact on train services
The remodeling work at Prayagraj Yard has affected a large number of trains. The details of the operational changes are as follows:
| Impact Type | Number of Trains |
|---|---|
| Route Changed | 35 Trains |
| Partially Cancelled | 13 Trains |
| Running Late | 9 Trains |
How to check updated train status
Chief Public Relations Officer of Prayagraj Division, Shashikant Tripathi, stated that these changes are temporary and will be reverted once the construction work is complete. Passengers can get the latest information regarding their trains through the official station inquiry, railway helpline, or the National Train Enquiry System (NTES).
