Secunderabad Railway Station is undergoing a massive transformation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The project aims to turn the station into a world-class facility similar to an airport by December 2026. South Central Railway is executing the work with an estimated cost of ₹714.73 crore.
What are the new facilities at Secunderabad Station?
The station will get a completely modern look with G+3 buildings on both north and south sides. A two-level air concourse will be built, where the first level will serve as a waiting area and the upper level will have food courts and retail shops. To help passengers, 26 lifts and 32 escalators are being installed.
How will connectivity and parking improve?
Passengers can reach Secunderabad East and West Metro stations directly through dedicated skywalks without crossing the road. For vehicle owners, a multi-level parking lot will be available. The capacity and technical details are as follows:

What is the current progress of the project?

Kishan Reddy and Minister of State for Railways Rao Niteesh Singh have reviewed the progress. The final facility is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
