The Railway Board has officially approved the merger of the 14109/14110 Chitrakutdham Karwi-Kanpur Central Express and the 14123/14124 Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh-Kanpur Central Express. This strategic decision, finalized between August 8th and 10th, 2026, is set to transform travel between the Bundelkhand and Awadh regions by eliminating the need for passengers to switch trains at Kanpur Central.

• Passengers will now enjoy direct rail connectivity between Pratapgarh and Chitrakoot.
