Bandikui Railway Junction is getting a major makeover to make travel easier for passengers. A new and wider Foot Overbridge (FOB) is being built to replace the old British-era bridge. This project is part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme aimed at improving passenger facilities.

What are the details of the new Foot Overbridge?
The new FOB will be 6 meters wide and 74 meters long, connecting all six platforms of the junction. It replaces the old 2-meter wide bridge. To help elderly and disabled passengers, lifts and escalators will be installed. Lifts are planned near the RPF station, while ramps or escalators will be added to the bridge leading toward the Balaji Temple.
What is the progress of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme?
The overall development of the station has a budget of around 23 to 24.5 crore rupees. More than 80% of the renovation work is already complete. The authorities expect the entire project to be finished by March 2025. The upgrade includes better entry and exit gates, improved circulating areas, wider roads, and a new passenger information system.
