What happened at Bagaha Railway Gate 51
The storm was so intense that the boom of railway gate number 51 at Kailashnagar broke and fell. This incident damaged the electric wires running beneath the boom, causing an immediate disruption to the rail traffic. Apart from the railway gate, more than two dozen trees were uprooted, and a communication tower at the SDPO office premises also collapsed.
Current status of railway restoration
Indrajeet Singh, the RPF Post In-charge of Bagaha, confirmed the damage to the railway infrastructure and electric lines. To fix the issue, a maintenance team from Narkatiaganj arrived at the site immediately. The team is working on a war footing to repair the gate and restore power. Rail operations will resume as soon as the repair work is completed.
