This move aims to handle the heavy rush of passengers during summer vacations and reduce long waiting lists. A total of 18,262 trips will be made across various routes to ensure a comfortable journey for travelers.

Which zones will operate the most trains?
Different railway zones have been assigned specific targets to manage the crowd. Central Railway will lead with the highest number of operations, followed by East Central Railway and North Western Railway.

- Saharsa-Kumedpur-Saharsa Special (05502/05501): Runs every Monday and Thursday until April 30, 2026.
- Raxaul-Howrah-Raxaul Special (05504/05503): Operates from Raxaul on April 22 and 26, and from Howrah on April 23 and 27, 2026.
- Nesubo Gomoh-Durgapur-Nesubo Gomoh Special (03302/03301): Runs from Nesubo Gomoh on April 22 and 24, and from Durgapur on April 22, 23, and 25, 2026.
Which other major routes are covered?
Apart from the above, ECR will run 10 more summer specials on routes including Patna-New Delhi, Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur, Anand Vihar-Jogbani, and New Delhi-Saharsa. Other routes include Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Muzaffarpur, Barauni-Udhna, Chandigarh-Patna, and Bhagat Ki Kothi-Danapur.
