The Jhalawar-Kota road will face traffic diversions due to the construction of a new Road Under Bridge (RUB) on the Kota-Nagda rail section. District Collector Piyush Samariya has issued official orders to manage vehicle movement during the installation of RH girders between Kanvalpura and Dara stations. This temporary measure is necessary to ensure safety and allow railway engineers to complete the underpass work.

When will the traffic diversion be active

The traffic diversion will be implemented in two phases to facilitate the construction. It will first be effective from May 14 to May 15 for a period of 48 hours. Later, the diversion will be applied again on May 21 for a duration of 24 hours. Police and traffic departments will be stationed at key points to guide drivers.

What are the alternative routes for travelers

Since the construction affects NH-52 and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the administration has provided specific alternative routes for different directions:

From – To Alternative Route
Jhalawar to Kota Via Khanpur-Bapawar
Kota to Jhalawar Via Anantpura NH-27 4-lane bridge, Baran, Bapawar, and Khanpur
Delhi/Sawai Madhopur to Laban Interchange Via Karadiya (Simaliya) Interchange to Baran-Khanpur-Jhalawar
Kota to Jhalawar (NH-52) Via Moruklan-Kanwas-Dhulet to Khanpur-Jhalawar
Sukhet-Modak-Ramganjmandi to Kota Via Modak-Chechat-Bhatwara on NH-52

Technical details of the new RUB project

Engineer Monu Kumar stated that the underpass at Dara Ghati is being built using modern technology. The structure consists of three pre-cast blocks, each measuring 13 meters in length, 6 meters in width, and 6 meters in height. Once joined, the total length of the underpass will be approximately 40 meters. Emergency vehicles and ambulances will be allowed to pass through immediately under the supervision of police officers.
