What are the key facilities being added at Jodhpur Station?
The redevelopment includes the construction of a five-story building with separate areas for arrivals and departures. To make movement easier for passengers, the station will have 16 escalators and 32 lifts. Additionally, new departure lounges and waiting rooms are being built to improve the passenger experience. To solve traffic issues, two multi-level car parking facilities are being developed at Raika Bagh and Bhagat ki Kothi.
How is the security and monitoring being upgraded?
Security is a top priority for this project. A digital security system with about 400 high-resolution CCTV cameras will be installed for 24-hour surveillance. These cameras will cover all platforms, booking offices, foot overbridges, and parking areas. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) will monitor everything from a dedicated central CCTV monitoring room to ensure passenger safety.
