North Eastern Railway will implement a mega block on the Gonda-Burhwal and Gonda-Gonda Kachahri sections during June and July 2026. This decision was taken to expand the third railway line and facilitate an inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety on July 10, 2026. A total of 69 trains will be affected by these infrastructure works.
Which trains are cancelled and diverted?
Around 15 trains are completely cancelled and 32 trains passing through Bareilly will follow diverted routes. Some trains will also be short-terminated or originate from different stations to manage the traffic during the block period.

These upgrades will allow trains to run at speeds up to 130 km/h on this route in the future.
How will this affect passengers?
Apart from cancellations and diversions, 10 trains including the Izzatnagar-Gorakhpur Express will be delayed by up to four hours. Passengers are advised to check their train status via the 139 helpline or the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before starting their journey.
